About
A Puerto Rican artist based in Naples, Florida, specializes in drawing, mixed media painting, and mural creation. His artistic journey begins with meticulously examining the societal imagery in advertising, art, music, history, news, and graphics, interpreting these from a personal to a universal perspective. He initiates his creative process by exploring diverse shapes, textures, and colors inspired by urban aesthetics. In recent years, his artistic exploration has expanded to encompass nature, serving as a pivotal moment in his career as he addresses political issues, endangered wildlife, economics, and their impacts on local communities.
Pseudomero utilizes his art to explore our responsibility towards nature and the consequences of detrimental policies that affect our access to and enjoyment of natural environments. His recent works delve into themes of coastlines, seashells, palm trees, and the environment, drawing inspiration from his observations during hikes in natural preserves.
His artistic journey reflects a philosophy rooted in self-management and creative resilience. He has participated in the Artistic Residencies of Bayamón City and has served as an educator in various higher education institutions in Puerto Rico for over five years. With a Ph.D. in Puerto Rican History from CEAPRC, he continues contributing to the discourse surrounding art, society, and the environment.
